Charlie's Steak, Ribs & Ale, Branson

My family and I ate there April 20th 2013. Great new builiding very eye appealing. The open front is something I rarely see. However after seeing the menu and ordering, I was not pleased. I understand that its not a barbeque joint but I ordered the BBQ brisket, it was probably the worst (oven cooked brisket I have ever tried. I had a $40 charcoal smoker That i could cook better bbq brisket in. I just wasnt happy with it at all. The other negative comment I had was that the drinks came out with black unknown floaties in it. My wife had a steak and she was satisfied. However, its good to try once but hard to go back after a bad experience.

What a Joke. Seen the place after spending day in Branson thought how could you mess up a steak at a steak house. Well let me tell you after waiting forty minutes the first steak came guess well done is hard to cook sent back ten minutes later strike two still could not figure it out after third try what was left was pathetic piece of jerky that I would not feed to my dog.

I always take restaurant reviews into consideration before I eat at anywhere. So after reading the reviews on this place I was really looking forward to my meal. What a huge mistake...Waited a good ten minutes to get a drink order, then waited another ten just to put in my food order. The food was barely mediocre. The biscuits were like hockey pucks. The family that sat down next to us while we were eating waited 15 minutes without a single person acknowledging them, then got up and just left. They were the lucky ones...had I only known. Do not waste your hard earned money here.

met family in branson for vacation went for steaks on last day of stay was so disappointed.service was horrible the waitress cared more about snatching plates and trash from under our noses while we were still eating than how our food was. never asked how any of was doing and it was not busy at this time. onion rings were so over done could not eat them and threw away one whole steak that was so tough could hardly tear into with hands. i finally complained to person who we paid and she was very unconcerned and then treated the other people with us horrible who never said a word about their horrible food .she was mad at me not them. terrible service terrible food!!!!!

Talk about GREAT. My Dad and I were on our annual 8 day fishing trip on Lake Taneycomo. Five of the eight nights we had dinner at Charlie's. Each night we were greeted with a smile. The manager Brandy greeted us. The service was super and so were the meals. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The ribs we had one night were Fall Off the Bone tender and delicious. We have been going to Forsythe for over 40 years. Charlies Steak House is a great place to relax and eat well.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! We have been driving past this place for many years and decided to give it a try. We should have kept on driving. I had the 3 meat combo. ribs, smoked sirloin and ham. The ribs were over done and VERY dry. The sauce was terrible. The sirloin tasted like very old dry roast beef. Thre ham was barely ok. The salad dressing was like water. My wife had the Ribeye. She said it was the worst steak shes ever had. When you leave and 3/4 of the order is still on the plate they should realize that there is a problem.The watress nore the hostess asked us how our meal was. I now know why. Without a doubt the worst dinning experience Ive had in many many years.

Atmosphere was nice. Singer Rebecca Dawn was good. Waitress was nice and service was Excellent.Rib meat was fallen off the bone. Sauce is a little spicey, but that's the way us guys like it. Steak special was terrific.No complaints from any of the7 of us.

We just came from Branson, had lunch at Charlie's, and it was terrible!! 2 of us had the pulled pork and fries, if that is what you want to call them. It was very nasty. Lunch cost us $31.21 and was not worth it. The waitress was to busy sitting in the corner booth eating and talking to a co-worker to wait on us or see if we needed anything. We used to eat there a lot but this is the last straw Montana Mike's down the road is a lot better and will get our business from now on!!!!
