Outback Steak & Oyster Bar, Branson

I have eaten at the Outback for years and have never had a bad experience there or bad food. The alligator is excellent and the steaks can t be beat.

We went to Outback expecting to have a good meal. That definitely was not the case! The only items that were half decent were the hot dinner rolls and the Aussie Onion. We each had a salad, I had the ceasar and my husband had a house salad. My ceasar salad was inedible, scarcely any dressing at all, and the dressing I could taste was off, It tasted rancid. My husband ordered the beef kabobs, he did not like them, and this is a man that loves steak! They were not seasoned and were very bland. I ordered the alligator dinner (having had alligator before - I liked it then), but this dish was terrible. This dish also had an off taste, the only half decent thing on my plate were the garlic mashed potatoes, and they definitely needed more seasoning. We are by far not picky eaters, and we eat out quite a bit but this was by far one o the worst meals we've had. The service was so-so, the ice tea was watered down, and for all of this we had to spend $50 (that we'll never get back).

We go to this place every time we're in Branson. My kids love it. I love the shrimp scampi. This is our favorite restaurant!

It's been about 5 years since we were there, but it left a lasting impression. The soup was barely lukewarm. I ordered my steak well-done, he ordered medium. Mine came out medium and his was well-done. The box-mix macaroni and cheese was the highlight of the meal. The server was not familiar with the food, desserts in particular, and he made himself scarce. Definitely not worth $80 for 4 people. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.
