Plantation Restaurant, Branson

Went there on a whim - was running late for a show and just looking for someplace we could get a decent meal in a reasonable amount of time - saw their sign for pan-fried chicken, ribs etc & thought OK that sounds good so we gave the buffet a try and OH MY that was the nastiest food I have EVER eaten out and paid for in my life - servers were greasy - none of them looked like they had showered that day - food was very low quality and was $12 for the buffet so it wasn't cheap and you could tell it had been there for a while - DO NOT EVER EAT AT THIS PLACE - they need to be checked into by the health dept - I'm sure their kitchen is equally as disgusting.

We went there for lunch on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, definitely a slow time in Branson. The place was nearly empty, which was surprising even for such a slow time. My meal was pork tenderloin, which was dry. A good potato on the side. My wife had a Reuben sandwich, which she said was very good. The total cost was $20, so it was a decent value for the meal. Our server made all the difference. When I told her of my food allergies, she went way above the norm on educating herself on the problems. Not having other customers to tend to certainly helped the situation. When she learned that my pork was dry, she returned with a bowl of the juice it was cooked in. That kind of service goes a long way in my book, so it was 50% tip time. If I knew that I could get the same server, I would return.

Okay I see the wife beat me to the review on this resturant. It was definitely one of the worst resturants we have in town I recommend avoiding it at all costs

Entertainment was excellent. I thought the chicken was outstanding. My huband wanted tabasco and he was finished before the waitress came back around to ask her again. I got the all you can eat chicken and I was letting my huband have a taste and the waitress asked if I was going to want more chicken and I'd only had my plate about 5 minutes. I told her no, and thought she could have been more attentive, even though the place was busy. I'd go again, wiser for the experience.

I visit Branson frequently. I had never ate at this restaurant, as I have my favorites in town. I finally decided to try The Plantation and was shocked to find it as bad as it was, wish I had read other reviews first. We walked in about 7:45 pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2008. They seated us (restaurant was very dirty in general), we ordered buffet. we got our first round made and was sitting there eating and they cleared all the rest of the buffet away. I ask the waiter why he did not tell us when we ordered buffet that we would not be able to finish our meal. He gave a half way answer and that was that. The food we did get was cold, nothing we had was even warm. I had ordered tea with my meal, when I ask for a refill I found out they had dumped the rest. When I complained about all this, they took the price of the tea off the meal. all in all one of the WORST dining experiences I ever had. WILL NOT RETURN.

Serves great food like Dog, Cat, Fish, Ostriche, Fieces, and even Human! Horrible service, Dirty Food, Old Food, and many other nasty things that will make you want to go there! ;)

This is an awesome restaurant! I recommend going after 4pm for their dinner buffet though. It costs a little more but it's alot better because not only do they have their famous pan fried chicken on the buffet for $11.99 but you also get the baked potato bar and blackberry cobbler! They have other choices as well but, these were my fav's! We spent our honeymoon in branson, the first time there for both of us and this was my favorite restaurant! They have live performers working for tips only and sometimes they are good and sometimes they are not so that can be just a tad annoying at times but I still highly recommend this restaurant! They also had $1 branson coffee cups in their gift shop when we were there! Enjoy!

As always our visit was a pleasant experience. I just wanted your entertainer to know that Ferlin Husky also asng as Simon Crum. I am the one who also told him that Hank Williams also sang as Luke the Drifter.

Worst part of my trip to Branson, food was lousy, tomatoes made two of our party sick. Meat (beef) was cold and chicken was greassy. Would never return there.
