This bar attracts an older generation. Severs are attentive, because you will be the only person there. Watch out for the $2 cover charge to cover the cost of the $2 band playing. And beware that the closing time adjust if there not busy, so plan on going home early.
Don’t let looks be deceiving. The outside of this place might not look like much, but the food is excellent. The seafood is some of the freshest you can find in a land locked state, but most things here are going to be fried. Don’t come here looking for a salad because they don’t have any. It’s usually pretty smoking and the atmosphere is definitely a bar, but if you can get past that you won’t regret it. For those of you looking for some good strong drinks you might check Turtleheads out on Tuesday because they have a 2 for one special on drinks and they are usually mixed strong.
Turtleheads is a fun little place, the people there are freindly and go out of their way to see that you have a good time. The only problem I have ever had was not being big enough and filling too soon. :( And what can you say about turtle races?!
