Toot Toot Restaurant, Bethany

My friend and I went to Missouri and was told by my in laws to try Toot Toots in Bethany. We stopped and was not disappointed with the food or service. Friendly wait staff and the food was all homemade and fresh! It was definately worth the stop and will stop every time we re Missouri bound. The only thing I dont like about Toot Toots is it doesnt have a website where I can order more of their homemade jellys and jams.

Service was average, Food was below average. Drive up or down the Interstate and you will be making a better choice, I guarantee it.

8-13-11 Saturday My husband & I ate lunch here today. It was delicious -- salads, several meats, veggies, homemade bread, Apple butter, cakes, pudding, & ice cream --- all you can eat for $7.99. The next time we pass thru Bethany, we will eat @ TOOT TOOT.

Stopped in on our way to Missouri. I love to try family owned retraunts rather than a chain if possible and I was NOT disapointed! The buffett was not as big as some might be at a chain buffett but the quality made up for it. There was still plenty to choose from and it was all home cooked and excellent. The server was great. The decor is very rustic and I liked it. There is an old stage coach size wagon out front full of petunias that I was told get planted every year by the owner. It was gorgeous. We are stopping in again on our way back up to Minnesota as we may not pass this way again. 2 thumbs up for Toot Toot!

First its our favorite place to eat!!! we have been going there for at least 10 years!! Its about 45 minutes from where we live, but it is so worth the drive, the people are the friendliest you will ever meet, and the food is just like home cooking! from the green beans outta the garden to the homemade bread!! Its got a rustic atmosphere is what I love.....you cant go wrong if you eat there.....and we keep going as long as they are still there!!!!

My family and I stopped at the Toot Toot Restaurant last week. This was absolutely the best food and service we had our whole vacation. We normally always eat at chain resturants because we know what to expect . . .the desk clerk at Super 8 sent us to Toot Toots and I am so glad she did. We arrived and our waiter greeted us at the door which made it feel like home. He rearranged the table to accomodate my wife, who is confined to a wheelchair. He told us all about the buffet and we decided to take him up on it. The food was out of this world. My wife loved the fried chicken also. Then, just when we thought we had all we could stand, the waiter reminded us that dessert went with it and if I hadn't have known better, I would have thought my grandmother was back there baking. The dessert was just as great as the buffet. The service was equally as great as our waiter was very efficient and polite. You can usually tell when people like what they do and it was obvious he enjoys his job and he made us feel very much at home. This was our first experience with Toot Toots, and we will most definitely be back. Thanks so much to the Toot Toot staff for doing an awesome job.

Was on a trip to Winterset Iowa and had read reviews about this restaurant so we stopped for breakfast. HUGE mistake!!!! We were seated and orderd coffee which came about the same time as our breakfast. The biscuits and gravy we received had 1 biscuit and a plate full of watery gravy with about 3 sausage morsels. Food and service was awful. We will not return to the toot toot ever again!!!!

I finally got to return to the Toot Toot. The first time we ate here was in 2003. I only get up this way when going to family and high school reunions in Iowa. Now living in Texas the freshness of the food doesn't compare to food just off the farm. The first time I ate here I was nearly in tears (I don't cry very easily) over how great the food was especially the tomatoes! Everything was just as good now in 2008 as it was in 2003. I have been wanting to come back ever since. I have eaten many places but some really stick in your mind and this is one of those few places. Can't wait to return!

Must be a digruntled employee or someone who got fired who wrote that last review. To top it off such a childish review. I have been in Bethany for just over a year now, and have been eating at Toot-Toot on many occisions. The food has always been very good, the service outstanding. Not everyone will like all things, but their is such a varity you will be able to find somthing that you do like. I own a hotel in town and Toot-Toot is the only place I recomend. I have been thanked many times for the suggestion. Never has anyone came back and told me anything bad. I think that if there were rats like this childish person says, in all the times I have been there, and all the customers I have sent there someone whould have seen one. I am sure the health department would have found signs of them as well. I have never seen a dirty employee. If you want good food and great service Toot-Toot defenitly is the place to go. To the person who wrote that childish review, if your going to write one, write it right, I don't think the way its written anyone would take it seriously, you sound like a person with a personal problem with the business. You need to grow up..
