My daughter and I have eaten here many times so came in for lunch Tues. Oct. 16 around 12:30pm.. We were told to go to a booth along the wall that had NOT been cleaned off by a young man at the register. Several other customers were also directed to dirty tables by the same person. Seating capacity 82. Two visible servers for the whole restaurant during lunch service. All the booths were filled with one to three customers per table. The center tables were empty except a table or two. We wait 10 minutes before the male server comes with menus and empty glasses and to clean the table. Another 10 minutes to return to take orders and fill glasses. Two lunch entrees, two soups, 1 steamed rice, 1 sticky rice and two egg rolls. Also, extra crispy fried squid appetizer. Someone from the back brought the squid. After 10 minutes the female server brought our entrees. We had not received our soups and told her so she made an other trip. Had to request again for the rice. We get two steamed rice. Wrong! Later the person from the back brought the sticky rice. Had to request again for missing egg rolls. No one ever asked how the meal was even though we could hear other tables being asked. We were not the only table to get their orders messed up. Afterwards it took awhile just to get the bill. Customers had to wait in line at the front just to pay because the servers could not handle payment at the tables because they were busy. By 1:30pm there were not many customers but it took a while to get the of $21.83 but left $22.00 at the table with a list of grievances about our experience. Usually we have just the two lunch items and leave a $5.00 tip because the food is worth 5 stars and the past service was worth 5 stars. That is over 20%. The food was still worth 5 stars but sorry to say the service brought the experience down to 2 stars:(. You need more than two servers for a busy lunch time service. I hope this improves or you will not have any patrons in order to stay in business. There are other options.
Had good service at one time. They ve changed who takes and distributes the orders, so if you want rude service along with the likelihood that your carryout order may not be placed this is the place for you. Too many other decent places to eat to waste your time here.
i had great service when i went there. it was fast, it was not five star service thats for sure. and i only say that because its not a place you would go drink wine, and have somebody devoted to you, telling you every thing about the drinks and food. but if you wanted to know some thing and asked the would shear the information with you . its a lovely place to eat and the bill is worth very bit of your experience there. its moderately expensive. two people about 30-40$. but the food was very tasty. i have been to several Thai restaurant and i would have to say if your going for food this would be the one to eat at. the atmosphere is so so. but it is still the food in witch i go to tasty Thai.
Good food. Lousy, slow, slow, slow, slow, slow service ... even when they're not busy! Expect your meal to take 3 times longer than what you'd expect. And, the restaurant does not provide the type of ambience that makes you wnat to linger.
HIGHLY suggest calling ahead for carry out -- you get the good food, without the miserable dining experience of the restaurant.
If you want to dine out -- go to Thai Place. Overall -- food is just as good, atmosphere is much nicer ... and service is usually decent (except when they're really busy ... then ... plan on slow service there, too).
I read other reviews about the service. The service has gotten way better. I recommend the Basil Beef and Tiger Cried Beef with sticky rice. The lunch portions are perfect. I've taken several people that like other Thai places better that have never returned to their prior fav places.
I go here when ever I can for lunch during the week. Food is amazing. Waiter tries hard to serve in a timely manner, he is the only waiter during the day. Favorite thai place so far.
If you go the THAI spring rolls are cheap, large, and delicious. The Tom Kar soup is very flavorful and cheap. Seafood Pad Thai I had once and it was wonderful as well. And the thai iced coffee or thai iced tea is a MUST! Haven't tried one thing that was not worth it.
I defenatly recommend it for thai lovers.
You want spicy...they got spicy: Lunch menu has several great dishes to choose from. Most specials are priced at 6.95 for lunch and comes with soup and chicken wing for appetizer. It is a generous portion and the food will be served as mild or hot as you like. I recommend the Cashew Chicken. Thai HOT!
