I always forget about this place when thinking about my favorite restaurants, but this really is one of my favorite places in the city to just spend an entire evening with people I like talking to. La Bodega has a wonderful, cozy atmosphere which just invites you to linger all night and have a great conversation over a bottle of sangria. Their paella is outstanding, but my favorite thing to do is try all the tapas plates over the course of the evening. The bacon wrapped dates are wonderful. Great place to take a date, or a large group. My only complaint is that the outdoor seating stinks.
This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. The food is great--I've tried a variety of their tapas and am hard-pressed to choose a favorite. The Spanish coffee is fun--go at night and order it--the sparks fly! You'll see what I mean. The wine I've tried is good. The staff is wonderful.
This is the work of an exceptional chef. The flavors are complex and unique. The quality is excellent and tastes like everything is made from scratch. The happy hour is a roaring great value. The atmosphere is big city, exotic and upbeat. The wine offerings are really nice and affordable. Our wait person was delightful. I'm actually a pretty critical diner, but I have nothing but compliments for this place.
This place is unassuming but really good.
I had some steak on a stick and a salad for lunch and I was impressed.
The bar where I ate though, was the wrong height to be comfortable.
The iced tea glasses were so small that two gulps emptied one. But I was still happy, the food was that good.
Spanish Cuisine - not to be confused with Mexican Cuisine. You will find La Bodega to be a great atmosphere with a unique taste served Tapas style, which is a style originating from the Northern Region of Spain (Basque Region). Tapas are similar to an appetizer portion, which affords a taste of multiple dishes. The Spanish wines were also very unique tasting as well. Expect variety with the cheeses, breads, wines, with unique preparation & presentation. Give this cultural experience a try!
The whole point of a Tapas restaurant is to be more sociable and create a dining experience rather than to focus on your main dish. This restaurant does exactly that! It's a small restaurant so I'd recommend reservations, but it's absolutely worth the money! Once you're there plan on spending atleast a few hours of your time to enjoy the food, and the sangria. Great place for any occasion, but especially for groups! We showed up a half an hour late and they still got us in without any issues. Our glasses were NEVER empty and the server took the time to explain and make sure we knew what tapas were. We were never rushed through our meal. Fabulous place; I plan on bringing many more friends there!
This is a wonderful restaurant that is great for all occasions. Girls night out, romantic dinner, celebratory occasion, anything! The service is wonderful, very professional management, and THE FOOD! The food is great. The steak with blue cheese will CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!! Give it a try!!
