BY FAR THE WORST MEXICAN FOOD RESTRAUNT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE HAD TO WAIT ABOUT 10 MINUTES BEFORE BEING APPROACHED. THE STAFF JUST KIND OF LOOKED AT US UNTIL I CAN ONLY ASSUME THEY WERE INSTRUCTED TO COME,AND TAKE OUR ORDER. THIS COMPANY HAS A LOT OF HIDDEN COST. ITS CLEAR THEY ARE A BUNCH OF GREEDY SONS OF BITCHES! THERE WAS ONLY ONE GOOD POINT ABOUT THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. A YOUNG MAN WHO BUSSED THE TABLES. HE WAS VERY POLITE AND QUICK TO REMOVE DISHES. WITH THAT SAID YOU KIND OF GET THE FEELING THAT AFTER YOUR TABLE IS CLEARED THEY WANT YOU TO LEAVE. WELL ,THAT IS ONE THING THEY NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT AGAIN . DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY COULD NOT PAY ME ENOUGH TO WALK THROUGH THOSE DOORS AGAIN. IN MY WORK I COME INTO CONTACT WITH THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND EVCERY CHANCE I GET . I TELL THEM THAT WHEN THEY COME TO KANSAS CITY THERE IS ONLY ONE PLACE THAT YOU SHOULD NEVER GO TO,AND OF COURSE IT IS THE SO CALLED RESTRAUNT(HESITATE TO CALL IT THAT) LAFONDA

Awesome food! Most authentic in town! Best carnitas I've tasted! Great place for families, large or small groups and top notch service. Impress your friends by taking them to this more neighborhood family restaurant.

La Fonda is one of the best mexican restaurants on the westside of kansas city. The staff is alway courtesy and the service is great. The food is always hot and delicious. The margaritas are the best!!!

Rude staff, nasty food, dirty place. I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE!

The food is good, but not great. Defnitely wish they'd make their own chips but they have killer margaritas.

One of the best in KC if not THE best. Being from southern California, this is one of the few places that taste like real authentic Mexican food.

It's a little hole in the wall, but it has excellent food at terrific prices. As a bonus, they are really friendly people. Parking is tough on the Boulevard, but it's worth the effort.

La Fonda is very good. If you like Manny's you will really like this place too. The Salsa is really, really good. 4 different varieties. Very fresh tasting. Try the Flautas platter, the beans and the rice is really good also...Probably the best that I have had on SW Blvd. Try it out, you will like it. Nice family atmosphere.
