Lucia's La Taquera, Independence

On many Friday nights after a hard work week, my family will call-in an order for food to pick-up. Also it is a great family atmosphere to see friends and acquaintences.

Just visited here. First time. Really disappointed after the great reviewes. Hamburger on the taco salad was flavorless and also cold, like it was cooked this morning and just sat out all day. The #20 was covered in greasy cheese. The ground beef in the taco had no flavor. The salsa was bland, runny AND chunky, with no consistency. Our waiter couldn t remember our drinks even though there were only TWO other tables with people on them. Neither one of us ate our food, and the waiter only asked if we needed a to go box and never asked why we didn t eat. $20.66 that we will never see again.

Hands down, Lucia's Restaurant makes the absolute best tacos anywhere as well as some of the best guacamole! They also have great burrito spreads and tamales. Don't let the small size fool you. Their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend the 3 Hard Shell Tacos (Shredded Beef, Pork, Chicken, or Ground Beef).

lucia's is great...it's not so hot for big groups because the restuarant is really small but they do have take out thier food is very authentic and they were rated best tacos in KC...it's inexpensive and worth the trip.

The best tacos around!!!! Absolutely the best!!!!! Double shelled, lots of meat and lettuce, good size tacos!!!!! You get your moneys worth and you will not be sorry!!!! You will leave happy and full!!!!!! Keep up the good work Lucia!!!!

Love the salsa. Great place to take the whole family.

Warning: Food poisoning! My wife ate here last night at her company s Christmas party and she has been up half the night vomiting from the food poisoning she got from your food. What a horrible experience. If Yahoo! allowed less than 1 star, that is what I would select. Rest assured I will be filing a complaint with the appropriate city, county, and state agencies. For your own health, stay away from this place.
