Red Lobster, Cape Girardeau

Horrible! We all ordered from the new wood grill menue. All of the grilled items were verry undercooked. Nothing even looked like it had touched the grill. The fish and seafood were ice cold. The chicken was still pink on the outside. They did not get a single side order right. Our waitress dissapeared. Another waiter refused to take the food back because we were not his table. The manager would not come out to talk with us. None of our drinks were ever refilled. After an hour of not eating anything and getting ignored,(except for when they dropped of the bill),we left. Half of us walked out without paying our share of the (incorrect) bill.

This is one of the better places to go for seafood in the Cape area. This place has been around seems like forever thus It may be a little more commercialized feeling than other places but the food and service is usually pretty good and the selections seem to accommodate almost everyone. It does get crowded at times especially at lunch times and evenings maybe it's because people get a craving for seafood, fresh Ice tea & those wonderful warm cheddar biscuits. I personally enjoy their shrimp specials and salad not a big fan of their lobster or crab legs. Guess I've been spoiled when it comes to fresh seafood traveling around for so many years. The down side is It does get crowded especially on holidays and weekends so plan to go early otherwise you may have a long wait. Some of the meals can be rather expensive but I normally go during the week usually taking a late lunch beats most of the crowds and I get pampered.

What AMAZING SERVICE!! I waited tables for 10 years so I know how difficult it can be to accomodate 25 people but their servers did a fine job. I cannot remember their names but let me tell you about our experience. My grandmother had passed away and our entire family was in Cape for the funeral. We decided to go eat at Red Lobster since it was right accross from the hotel. We only waited about 15 minutes and had a table for everone together except the four people that showed up a little late and they seated them in a booth close by. It was wonderful to have all of us together since I had not seen some of my cousins in 15 years. The servers were friendly and efficient, drinks were always filled quickly and orders were taken with ease. The manager came by to check on us and even took the 8 children for a personal showing of the lobsters while we waited for food. Everything was served within 20 minutes and was perfect (with the exception of my husbands steak, a little undercooked but he wasn't too bothered by it). I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone living or visiting Cape. You won't be disappointed!

Red Lobster of Cape is great! The service is paced at your convenience, the food taste fantastic, and everyone is so friendly! Plus, it's affordable for everyone!
