So I see my review was deleted. I will repost it. Went last year to this place and the food was boring. Steak way over cooked. Also, a small complaint here: The waiter dumped the entire tray of food on me. I was covered completely in food. WE STILL HAD TO PAY FOR OUR FOOD. No manager came by to apologize. I had to sit soaked in food, dressing, and other matter just to eat because they were not going to take care of the bill. I am sure they will be contacting yahoo again to delete this again. Thanks for the great experience.

Better steak available. Wanted to try a local restaurant and found the L&C rib eye steak tough and tasteless. Beans and rice side was cold and tried to hide bland with some salsa. This fool boy had a great rib eye two days earlier at a nearby restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, but wanted to try something different tonight.. and regret it.

I went here with my husband in the summer and my husband had a sleeveless shirt on. He was asked to wear one of their t-shirts because men cannot have sleeveless shirts. This was not a tank top, a "wife beater", simply sleeveless. He put on the t-shirt and we were seated. After being seated I see at the table next to us a woman with not only sleeveless shirt on, but so low cut and revealing I could see most of her breasts! That was offensive. My husband and I are very clean, neat individuals with good personal hygiene. I told him I wanted to leave, why would I want to spend money in a place that discriminates. When we contacted the manager a few days later to tell him of this situation he basically said, too bad, that's our policy. The server and the hostess even said when giving us the shirt how "stupid" they thought this policy was. Women you can come in half naked if you want, but men make sure you are covered head to toe, neck to fingertips. This is not an inexpensive restaurant either. We left, went to the Outback Steakhouse just a little way from there, were welcomed in, had a wonderful, delicious dinner, and wasn't discrimated against or didn't have to look at the breasts of the woman sitting next to me either. I would not recommend this place at all, for any reason, for anytime!

The food is not that great unless you enjoy chain restaurant style, greasy stuff. Sure the burgers are good, but you can get a good burger anywhere. Lewis & Clark and Trailhead are anything but unique, if you're a real beer snob, you'll not be wowed by their libation either.

Disappointing--altho the high ratings,,not at all pleased,,the inside of the building is very nice..We went at about 3:00pm,were seated (7 of us) on the main floor..the service was horrible, cant image what it would have been if it had been crowded..our server kept disappering, we waited and waited, by the time he came to take drink orders, we were ready to order the food..soup of the day was wonderful, but, for almost $5, the bowl was tiny,,not small, tiny..salads were ok,,,food did come pretty quick, but,,the sandwichs were soggy, the pork was way way undercooked, the pasta was tasteless and 1 person who ordered the Chicken Oscar was not happy..i wish there had been more reviews to read. One more thing, there dress code (only no sleeveless shirts 4 men) not a problem, but really think that 4 a family restaurant, the female servers could wear something more appropriate than hooters shorts. Just noticed, almost of the reviews here are from previous years.

I love this restaurant, me and my family have been coming to Lewis & Clark's for years and I have not once had a bad time. I even came here with my whole family the day I was married. They have great services and most important, great food. I hope you enjoy this restaurant as much as me.

I tried Lewis & Clark's twice and found both experiences unsatisfying. The food was no better than ok, and the smokey atmosphere was a turnoff. This is no better (and I would argue not as good) as your local Applebee's or Chili's.

Great Food

This is a great resteraunt our family loves to go to. The steaks are really good and so is the rest of the food. The prices are a little higher but the portions are large.

Overall, our experience was good but I ordered white chili and half a chicken salad sandwich. I was very disappointed in the sandwich - the chicken was tough/chewy and the sandwich was overall, bland. The chili was excellent though. I'd stay away from the chicken salad. It was like they used left over chicken or chicken that had been overcooked to make the salad.
