Mark Twain Dinette, Hannibal

The staff was pretty rude and the food was way overprices for the portions. Not satisfied at all. Would not eat there again I'm sorry to say.

My family and I ate there after touring Mark Twain's boyhood home. We ordered maid-rites which had a very good flavor. If you eat at this restaurant you definitely have to try the homemade root beer! It is the best root beer in the world.

we went there for the first time and thought it was an average restaurant. i guess i expected more because of all the hype i heard about it. but it was good food

this used to be a great place to eat.I used to love their homemade root beer but even that has changed.The recipe for it has been changed or something . It now tastes like it has cream soda in it. Also very expensive to eat there .Honestly I don't like this place any more and I live close by it.I would only go there if someone else was buying.

The Mark Twain Dinette is a Hannibal tradition. Drive up in the back for a traditional drive in experience, or go inside for good traditional family dining atmosphere and food. The two things not to be missed are the root beer and the foot of rings. They make the root beer themselves (some claim in the giant mug which is their sign). The foot of rings is a foot high stack of onion rings with 3 sauces. Don't be scared off by the chili ranch. It's delicious!
