Kwan Yin Restaurant, Wentzville

ROACHES!! I love Chinese food and gave this place a try. While waiting for my lunch, a roach climbed down the wall. Where there is one, there is more. I hate to think about how gross the kitchen and food prep areas must be. The place is old, run down, and outdated. Plus it had an old musty smell when you walk in. The Hot braised chicken was not good at all. It had a weird brown tasteless gravy on some chicken strips...gross. The fried rice was some of the best this side of the river, but I couldn't get the roach out of my mind, therefore it was not enjoyable. I was the only person in the restaurant and I now see why. The other reviews on here must be from the owners of the place. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

This place is the best1 I found out it is the same family that used to have a restaurant in Crestwood. Years ago it was the best place to eat and this is the same. Great atmosphere too.

Kwan Yin is one of the best places to eat. If your looking for the best in town crab raggoons, kKwan Yin is your place (they are not sweet). The owners, Steve and Debbie, have really mastered good food and great dining. Kwan Yin is tops in my dining experience.

This is a wonderful, family-owned restaurant. Everything on the menu is terrific no matter what you order. My favorites are the Kwan Yin Gai and the Almond Duck (but be sure to call ahead for the Duck, they run out fast).

The chicken or shrimp velvets are phenomenal! The food is excellent and a great deal.

I like the hot braised chicken and my husband likes the chicken velvets.He has eaten downtown St. Louis chinese restraunts and no one makes It better!Service is the best and the atmosphere is so cosy. You got to try is out!!
