This is the only place I know in St Louis where you can get ox tail soup. It is delisious. Also, seafood soup is one of the best. I go there quite often to get food to go. You can eat around $20-25 for two.
Been eating at Pho Long for a year now. I'm a little scared to tell other people about it since I fear it may fill up. The Pho is the best I've had and the atmosphere is great. $1 beers on Wed and Thurs + Pho... wow!
Pho Long i really like it there...its a very small but great food..they have some similar rice dishes like the bigger Vietnamese restaurants..like Bo luc lac and tom rang muoi...its a good size for your money...been to kim son portion was too small..Pho is great they have vegeterian dishes too. Great place to try great pho around st. louis.
ate there Sat. ok at best. had beef rice dish. mostly a plate of rubbery bf cubes and lots of onions. soup was interesting, but only fair. spring rolls were ok, but mostly lettuce -little else. sauces were good. not worth a second visit by any means. too many worthwhile places nearby.
Today we tried out Pho Long. I agree with the other reviewer - the restaurant isn't too big, definitely a mom and pop place. The menu is short, too - mainly lists different types of pho, some other types of noodles, and some rice plates. Since this is a pho place, both my husband and I got the Pho Dac Biet, which comes with the works: the rare beef, tendon, tripe, beef balls, etc. We both think it's the most authentic tasting pho in Saint Louis yet. Also, the bowl is a decent size. We'd definitely come here again for pho. We also like the fact that they accept credit cards (not a cash only place).
Pho Long is a very small restaurant; perhaps only 8-10 tables. The menu is brief but Pho Long delivers when it comes to a wonderful meal of Vietnamese style soup and noodles. Pho Long does this by focusing on the quality and freshness of each dish. Oh and by the way, be sure to try their GREAT Vietnamese style Flan or fresh yogurt for dessert. I am sure you will agree Pho Long is a Great and Yummy Place to Eat the NOODLE :)
