John Mineo's Italian Restaurant
Posh is the word for Mineo's West County restaurant. The elegant surroundings and impeccable service complement an outstanding menu of Italian cuisine. Pasta dishes are paramount and the cannelloni is particularly noteworthy. Mineo's also excels at seafood, like the splendid sea bass with white wine and mushroom sauce. The prices are steep, but not out of line for a fine dining experience of this caliber. The extensive wine list is in keeping with the sophistication of the menu.
My wife and I experienced excellent service and fine cuisine on our visit to John Mineos. I had lobster and my wife enjoyed scallops. Our pasta sides were wonderful as was the desert we shared. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and we hardly noticed the staff as they kept our water and wine glasses full. Highly recommended for fine dining.
Do not go to this restaurant!!! We ordered appetizer and entrees and within four minutes of our appetizer being served our entrées were wheeled in. The bar selection was incomplete and when we ordered Irish coffees, we got coffee with a shot of baileys. The establishment did not have not jack Daniels on premises or Murphy Irish Whiskey. The food was cold and the service was mediocre. Go somewhere else
I know everytime I go to dine at this establishment everything is taking care of to the finest detail. It seems they know what you want before you do. Anything they can do to make your dining experience more enjoyable is already thought of.
I love John Mineo's. I've only been there three times, and each time was amazing. The first time I went there, my now husband proposed to me. John and his wait staff really worked with my husband in making it the sweetest night of my life, and they succeeded. We've also been there for a dinner party, and the wait staff did an excellent job keeping up with all of us. I would suggest everyone try this place. Dress nice and expect a high class evening!
