Saleem's, University City

HORRIBLE ... the reason why I went there initially is because of the reviews. Come to find out all the good reviews are written by his friends and family. I am 100% lebanese and grew up around lebanese food all my life.. wanted to try out some good lebanese food while in ST. Louis... Let me tell you... WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT. Food is horrible, non of it is truly authentic lebanese food, portions are so small that I had to go and get some more food and the quality of the food is compromised. The pricing is horrible... I asked for a side of Tahini sauce and I was charged $2.50 ... wow.. is that a joke? I have never been charged for a sauce thats supposed to come with my food which was Shawerma. I am not here to recommend another Lebanese restaurant because I am not from around here... I am just here to give you heads up not to make a mistake and waist your money and be COMPLETLEY Dissapointed.

After I've had dinner at Saleem's my belly feels full and happy. The roasted garlic is so tasty. The babaganosh is the best I've ever tasted. I'm not a big lamb eater, but I had a bite off a friend's plate once and it was to die for. The service is fine. The atmosphere is great. I was there one Friday night and watched a beautiful belly dancer performance which made my heart race for several hours afterwards. So, great food, nice people, good for your heart, what could be better.

The cuisine is excellent and everything I've ever tried on the menu was great! I definately recommend checking them out the next time you are in The University City Loop area in St. Louis, MO.

The food was ok. The ambiance is really missing. Service was good however didn't like the in your face style.

One of the few middle eastern places in town. Food is well prepared and tasty. Not much to the restaurant itself. I love it because I love middle eastern food. In the heart of U City Loop.

Great ethnic yet home cooked tasting food. The pita chips drizzled with lemony / garlicy butter is so yummy. They have lamb and beef patties served with mashed potatoes that falls into the comfort food category. Great decor and it is nice to be able to go some place different and not have to lower your standards.

I do not like the way that i was treated. The sevice was not what i thought it should be for the price.
