Tequila Mexican Restaurant, St Louis

The Restaurant was very busy. We were informed there would be a 20 minute wait. We went to the bar to wait. The bar was busy also and there were still dirty glasses and such left on the bar. Bartender took our drink order and attempted to wipe down the bar. There were chips, lettuce and salsa left on the bar after the attempt. We waited over 40 minutes and then decided to leave. We were only asked 1 time if we would like anything else never offered menus. I understand they were busy but basic service was forgotten. Nobody likes sitting down to an area that is not clean. It does not give a good representation of your business. So after waiting 40 minutes and leaving all I can remember is it not being clean.

OMG they have the best frozen margaritas! I wish I knew how to make them at home! The fajitas are delicious too.

yep they did get fined for reserving there chips but you crazy if you dont think other places do the same things like all that bread at italian restaurants you know they put it in another basket. sure it typical mexican food but it's not bad and the margaritas our some of the best around but this is just my thoughts i'll be there friday having mine!

Have been there 40 or 50 times to drink in the bar area and learned a long time ago not to eat the food there. Medicore mexican food at its best. The refried beans are like watered down bean pure. The chicken in the chicken dishes has a funky chemical taste, almost like lighter fluid. Do yourself a favor and order a pizza next door, but be sure to have a margarita at Tequilas as they are generous with the tequila and there 5 beers for $10 is a good deal, especially with the Mexican beers. Friendly and boisterous atmosphere.

Had the steak Mexicano last night. Peppers and onions and tomatos. Great flovor in a well seasoned/marinated ribeye. Great value for the money. Kid friendly.

Last Saturday I thought I was about to have an average non exciting dinner, you know, the usual things, in the usual place, until my wife told me she had heard something about a Mexican Restaurant. I'm not a big fan of spicy things, but I was up for a change. Smart choice. I ate the best Fajitas I've ever had and tasted one of the best margaritas I've been able to drink! We're surelly coming back this weekend, or maybe a little earlier. Tequila all the way!

Pretty good food if you dont want to spend too much.
