Pros: Great food, Wonderful Area, Cheap Drinks, Great People
Food was great, setting was nice, and the price was reasonable (maybe even cheap for the quality). Service was also friendly and helpful. Tapas were excellent and so was the pasta. You should definately try it.
Great restaurant to have excellent authentic Spanish food in a comfortable and familiar place. Michael Carretero is the young owner and master cook and really enjoys his trade. Don Segundo is one of the main reasons to go to Guido's and linger a bit. He is a joy to talk with. You really feel that you are in Spain when you talk with him while enjoying the tapas and a nice Ribera del Duero wine. The empanadillas are a favorite, as well as the albndigas, and the superb and crispy calamares a la romana. I go to Guido's 5 to 10 times a month for lunch and for dinner it is my favorite restaurant in St. Louis. I go there and it's like being in Spain. Ah, the pizza is the best. Just ask my son-in-law and grandkids.
