Excellent food, mediocre service. When I rate restaurants, I rate them by the taste and quality of their food because I believe that it's worth bad service if the food is excellent (kind of like the soup nazi in Seinfeld). The pizza here is unmatched. It's classic St. Louis style thin crust pizza at its finest. I was born and raised in St. Louis, and I have never had St. Louis style pizza as good as this. Imo's Pizza is a close second, but Guido's ingredients seem fresher and the pizza is baked to perfection. I haven't tried anything else from here, but I highly recommend going just for the pizza.

The service was super slow and disorganized. We had a large party but the server was not with it and frankly kind of weird. Had to ask for everything repeatedly i.e. menus, bread, water, etc. The food was not bad but a lesser version of Imo's fare on the italian side. I didn't try anything on the spanish side of the menu. I probably won't go back.

This is a #1 great place, especially if you like paella with or without seafood.

I had high hopes when I entered the restaurant and a grandmotherly Italian woman exited the kitchen area, but soon thereafter my hopes were dashed. The salad served with the entree was highlighted with the house dressing. The entree, Chicken Siciliano, had potential, but called out for the extra kick of sun-dried tomatoes. The side of pasta was most disappointing. The marinara sauce with meat was quite sweet and delicious, but the pasta it was served with tasted like store bought. Service was attentive, maybe too much so, they took my bread plate with bread and knife on it, without asking. I believe I'll give the place another shot in the future and hope I don't see the grandmotherly Italian lady in the dining room and hope she's in the kitchen.

The food was good and the staff was nice. We were surprised they added a 20% gratuity on parties of 5 or more. When we gave the server two credit cards and told him what to go on each card, he added the full tip to my friends bill and 20 percent to my bill. When we had it corrected, he took a long time to get back to us and then argued about the 20% policy on parties of 5 or more. When we got the corrected bill, my friend still had the full 20% on her tab and now none on mine. We were so confused and embarrassed by the entire process. In the end, she paid the bill and I split the tip with her, but the waiter or the maitre di never apologized for the triple dipping and the final result in double dipping. The waiter still made out with more than 20% because we just wanted to get out of there at that point.

Went here a few weeks ago. Stopped in after a Cards game as it seemed to be one of the few restaurants on the hill open on Sunday. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was rushed but friendly. The pizza and toasted ravioli I had were both good, but when I saw my friend's pasta dish (seafood primavera) I knew I had made a mistake. It looked terrific. In fact, as I looked around everyone, seemingly, was eating pasta out of huge white bowls. Anyway, definitely worth a try in my opinion if you are looking for a casual and laid back place on the Hill.

Fantastic! -A true member of the Hill's classic restaurants.- with a Spanish twist The only thing bad I can say is to turn down the lights a little in the dining room in the evening! That's about it- Everything else is wonderful.
