Description

A classic cafeteria, the Best Steak House has been serving up great steaks in Midtown St. Louis since 1964. The grill sizzles seven days a week with steaks, burgers, pork chops and chicken. Other favorites include fried fish or shrimp. Even with salad, Texas-toast and baked potato, the price stays in the $7-$15 range. A gyros sandwich is on the menu as a salute to the Greek heritage of the founder, Dean Kases, though the St. Louis institution is now operated by son Dean Jr. and son-in-law Phil Schreiber. Dress is casual and no reservations are required.

I had the t bone steak and baked potatoe best ever steak tender I had no problems at all loved it :)

Great value! For a $10 steak dinner ($15 with drink and desert) you can't beat this place. I can't do one at home for that price.

Whatta dump !! THE WORST STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD!! I had the porterhouse and my wife had the ribeye.The ribeye did not look,taste or have the texture of a ribeye. NASTY! The fried shrimp was good. So was the baked potato and the texas toast.

A great place to dine at prior to a show at the Fox Theater.Excellent steaks w/o the price. I love the place.
