Caleco's Restaurants, St Louis

Went on a weekday evening, it was not busy. Service was good as was the food (I had steak, everyone else had pasta). We watched a baseball playoff game on the TV. Enjoyed it and would go back. A little pricey, but not bad.

Went to Caleco's on 5/8/11 and sat in the bar area at a tall table. It was approx. 9:30pm. We received the WORST service I have ever experienced in STL. The waitress didn't say hello until 10min. after we sat down and she didn't deliver drinks for another 10min. We ordered an appetizer and dinner, but it all showed up at once. After the food was delivered we never saw our waitress again until it was time for the bill. Upon getting the bill, there was already 18% gratuity added to it even though it was only a table of 2. The tables surrounding us were equally unhappy and we all discussed that we wished we had gone somewhere else. This was the worst service and dining experience I have ever had in St. Louis and I've been visit at least once a year for the last 5 yrs. Skip this place and go anywhere else!

I've lived my whole life here and never went caleco's until this week, when we met some old friends there for lunch. Fantastic, the waitress was super nice. - The steak sandwich was awesome.

We went before a St. Louis baseball game. The restaurant was recommended by the staff at our hotel. We were promptly seated. The wait staff was efficient and friendly. Food was good. We had a good experience and would come again if given the chance. A very nice time.

Wow these people are rude. This place is usually packed so they don't seem to think they need to be polite to keep business. Our table was sticky, and no one would clean it. The waitress was offended when I asked if she would wipe it off. We left with out paying for our drinks, I'm sure they didn't notice for some time anyways since they are definately not much for customer service. I'm pretty sure all the five star ratings they have here are from employees of the place. SCREW YOU CALICOS!!!

Very poor service and bland expensive food. I ordered a pretty large order of take out for some coworkers and myself. They said 20 minutes. Well I knew they were slow because another worker warned me about that so I gave them 40 minutes. When I got there I'm pretty sure they never even started the order. I waited in Calicos another 40 minutes. I complained to the woman at the bar, and all that did was slow it down more. She was very rude after that. The food was in very small portions, and had no flavor, but plentiful amounts of grease. I'm done with that place.

I went Calecos the last night I have never been so insulted by server and the managager. They were so rude to me and my guest. They didn't apologize for none of the things that went wrong that night. I eat at Calecos almost once a week and I will never go to that restaurant again for the way I was treated. I wouldn't recommend anyone to ever come there again. I will not spend my money to be insulted.

GREAT EVERYTHING!EXCEPT THERE STINGINESS WITH THE ROLLS SOMETIMES! MY FAVORITE IS THE SUPREME NACHOS AND CHEESE CAKE!

I recently visited Caleco's and I was very dissatisfied. I ordered an appetizer and we never got it, My food was served fifteen minutes after everyone at my table and It was served cold, I could not reach my waiter cause she was busy doing sidework, and most of the workers were unfriendly. And on top of that, I couldn't finish my food because it wasn't that good. They won't be getting my service again.
