Horrible service!!!!! We went there on a Saturday night at 7:30 and T.J. was our server and decided that the larger party was worth paying more attention to than our table because he probably thought he would get a bigger tip from them. There were other tables being waited from other servers and servers standing around but our waiter was too proud and greedy to ask for help. As a result, he came around once, only after I flagged him down to ask for refills. What does he do, he goes back and brings out to-go boxes to the table behind us. He couldn t get our refills when he was back there and bring them out with the other tables to-go boxes? Do you think he remembered our drinks after bringing out the boxes to the other table? Nope!
T.J. did have time to stand around with the other waiters thought rather than check on us or bring out drinks. then the most bizarre part of it all was I guess he thought I didn t need metal crackers for the crab legs. I asked him for them as he passed by and he did not bring them out but was able to pass by our table several times during the night and after the THIRD time of asking him and not getting them, I asked another waiter and he brought them right out.
We sought out a manager because we weren t receiving ANY service and the kitchen manager told us that he was new and had a big table. So you are telling me it is perfectly acceptable to ignore a table if you have a bigger one and/or are new? There was NO apology from the manager or offer to help getting us service going forward.
Then we had to flag him down for our check and he kept us waiting again. A simple apology from management and getting us some help would have saved me as a customer. I did not even ask for anything free or a discount, I just wanted some service. As a result they have now lost my business which includes catering for my office staff lunches.
My son and I visited this Red Lobster on June 12 2009. A Friday, we were expecting a crowd, but got seated with no wait (approx 8pm). The person seating us and our server were extremely friendly and courteous. Compared with my typical experience at Red Lobsters, the food came out in a very reasonable time, including our drinks. The waitress was very attentive and earned a good tip. The food was good (but the wood-grilled chicken that was on my platter was much better than I expected!). And there's always those cheese biscuits. I've eaten at this location many times in the past and would have to say, at least for this particular visit, they are much improved.
Very dissapointing and poor service is all I can say for Red Lobster on St Charles Rock Road. We had a table of 5 and the waiter we had didn't come back for 20 minutes with drinks. We ask another waitress what happen to him and was informed he was having a problem. Then someone should have taken over for him like his manager! We had a birthday at the table and the table informed the waiter. A person at the table reminded the waiter again towards the end of the dinner. The waiter then ASKED the birthday person at the end if she would like to be sung too. Of course he was refused and he offered NO FREE DESSERTS to the Birtday person like other big Restaurants offer to their customers. I will never spend my Birthday at RED LOBSTER AGAIN!
The Most Awful - Horrifying Dining Experience Ever
By A Yahoo Contributor, 8/20/06
They could not accomodate a party of 20+. The Server ( I believe his name was LaMero?) couldn't serve his way out of a box - not to mention serve any one of the people in our party. He told a Mother with small children when she asked about her children's drinks(after 30 minutes or more) that he didn't know she was so anxious - that family left. Another family left because the server stated they could not take any more orders ( she and her family had been there 45 minutes or more at that point). The service (OH EXCUSE ME THERE WASN'T ANY) was so poor Taco Bell would have at that point been a better choice had they served seafood. The saddest thing is that they got a tip based on the party.... the only tip we would have gladly given after that dining experience was GET ANOTHER JOB! WE WILL BE CONTACTING AREA REPRESENTATIVE, CORPORATE REPRESENTIVE AND POSSIBLY SENDING THE LOCAL MEDIA A LETTER REGARDING THE HORRIFIC SERVICE RENDERED AT THIS RESTAURANT. IN REFERENCE TO THE NEXT AREA THIS PLACE WOULD NOT BE GREAT FOR ANYTHING!
