This is the last time I will EVER visit this restaurant. We arrived at 8 AM on a Sunday morning, half the restaurant was empty and most of the parking lot. I asked for a table for six, even though we only had four people. The hostess said why, I said my wife&son was still coming but that I wanted my other kids to order so we would not be late for church. The hostess said, company policy, let me know when they are here and I will seat you. I said excuse me, and she repeated the company policy. So I replied okay, then seat the four of us at a table for six. I was told no, we will seat you at a table of four (over half the restaurant is empty) and if your wife shows up with your son, we will try to seat both parties near each other. I asked for the manager, under the mistaken impression that the girl misunderstood the restaurant's policy. Boy was I wrong, the manager defended her hostess, and reiterated that if we wanted to be seated at a table of four they would try and seat my wife and son nearby. Again, half the tables were empty, so I deferred and asked my wife to meat us at the local bread company restaurant. When I wrote to the Cracker Barrel management, I got the usual, thanks for contacting us, sorry you had an issue.
