The best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. We eat here often and have never been disappointed. We love the crab rangoon and the egg rolls. And their dinner platters are loaded with food. John and Irene always make you feel welcome. They are great people with a spectacular business ethic. Thanks for the great meals!
My experience with this restaurant was EXTREMELY poor. When asked if they had a dish called honey chicken they replied no but they could make it, and charge it as a platter. When I get the box home it's 10 over cooked chicken wings with honey dribbled over them. For those who do not know honey chicken is a dish that consists of tempura chicken and mixed vegetables in a mild honey based sauce (which is available up the street at Fu Yu and is delicious). I don't care if they couldn't make the dish I would have ordered something else, but the fact that they charged me over $8 for an appetizer and made it sound as if they were going out of their way for me, is a horrible business practice. I also ordered Crab Rangoon which had the worst flavor I have ever encountered in any Chinese place I have ever eaten. My recommendation is to order from Fu Yu at the next major intersection off highway 30. They may not deliver but the food is of much better quality and the owners are decent, honest people.
Oh this is GREAT FOOD! THEY MAKE IT THERE_PREP AND EVERYTHING! THEY MAKE IT IN VIEW SO YOU CAN TRUST THEM AND THEY HAVE BEEN IN THE BUSINESS FOR DECADES. AND THEY ARE YES ARE CHINESE!-REAL CHINESE! this is a kitchen not a restaurant-only 2 tables and 4 seats each with a few more by the other wall. FANTASIC FOOD!-good portions for the price!
I've lived in Fenton for 10 yrs. and tried every Chinese place around. This is the only one I keep going back to. Nothing special about the decor of the restaurant, but if you are looking for quality Chinese, J & I will never disappoint you. John & Irene (the J&I) are wonderful. The food is always hot and delicious. I would recommend anything from the menu. However, their crab rangoon and pot stickers are some of the best anywhere. They even deliver. J&I is a must try.
