The Pasta House, Maryland Heights

Won't be going back to this Pasta House again. Worst service ever. Small Salad was dry and to top it off there was a hair in mine. Told the help who didn't even offer to get me another (BTW, I only had about 3 bites). Then they delivered my daugters lunch and when she was almost finished the waitress asked how everything was, I had to inform her I was still waiting for my lunch. Gets better, never received a refill of ice tea while the people at the table next to me had 2 refills, lucky them. Then I told the manager or kid acting as manager that I never received a refill and was sucking ice for liquids. He failed to offer ice tea and he said no one who works there would put a hair in my salad. Now to set the record straight, I wasn't asking for a discount I was asking for another salad (without hair). Needless to say, I won't be going back to this Pasta House again. I will be getting my salads hairfree from the Creve Coeur location.

I absolutely love this Pasta House. Their food is always fantastic and the servers are friendly. I live nearby and I go here fairly often. As far as Pasta House's in the area go, this one has the best food and is my favorite. 20x better than that horrid one in Farmington (put it out of its misery please!) and not as busy as the one on Lindbergh in south county.

Never Going Back. Sat for almost one hour waiting for two orders of Spaghetti and when it arrived at our table, it was something else. Seems every time I've attempted to eat a meal there something goes wrong. Staff was very slow and unfriendly. I could expect that in a busy restaurant but there was only one other table of people. Maybe that's why there was only one other table there on a Sunday afternoon. Also, they do not allow carry and conceal which is why they are being boycotted by the conceal and carry people anyway.

I just had lunch there yesterday. Their food is passably good but I could pay the same amount for better food at other Italian restaurants in the area achoo Rizzo's achoo, oh excuse me. Actually the Pasta House locations in Arnold and Florissant are better. Back to the one on Dorsett: when you ask for a salad without pimentos they don't know what to do. They make a fresh salad and leave off the dressing but add pimentos anyway! They add pimentos by hand anyway. When you see this and tell them you want dressing and no pimentos (as the salad dressing is the best thing about the salad) they bring you another salad with mostly yellow and white iceberg lettuce with a few bits of green lettuce and still a bunch of pimentos. A simple request completely botched. Remember it's worth the drive to the Florissant location or Arnold location. Otherwise just go to another Italian restaurant.

The pasta house has wondeful service and wonderful food. The price is very reasonable. I would go back to the pasta In a second.

Pasta House used to be one of my favorites restaurants, but they've continually upped the prices and dropped the portions. they used to have an all you can eat salad and soup deal, but now it's a single serving. They used to have a lot of great pasta dishes under $10, but they're all in the $10-$12 range now... the food is still good, mind you, but borders on the range of more expensive than worth it.
