Food is terrible and old. We ordered there a week ago and ordered: chicken fried rice, general tso chicken, pot stickers, and 1/2 of sweet and sour chicken. The food was old and rubbery. The fried rice was so salty that I couldn t eat more than two bites. The general Tso s was to spicy. I called the next day and they told me that they would give credit for the ENTIRE order. So my husband and I waited for a couple of weeks and talked to the manger. She said she would only cover the fried rice and not anything else. She lied to my face and I will NEVER go back. GROSS AND NOT A FAN.
This is my new favorite Chineese place! I live by the one by Dierberghs and call this and I always make my orders at this one, delicious food, friendly sevice at a reasonable price , just remember to tell them to hook it up with fortune cookies and you can't go wrong and you have a perfect family meal.
LOVE this restaurant. We've been ordering from here since they opened. The food is always hot and delicious. Fresh Veggies, No MSG. Friendly service. I highly recommend Yangzee for take out or delivery chinese food!
The food I ordered was cold and had hair in it. It was trash worthy for sure. I have never been in the building but I would guess it's a dump considering my food was probably dropped on the floor or something nasty. Maybe it was a fluke but no second chances on something that bad. I called and was told no refunds, so there you go.
The yangzee in ballwin is the worst I have ever eaten at.The fried rice was dry, very dark and tasted of only salt. The chicken pieces looked like liver. The general tso's chicken consisted of over fried hard pieces of chicken. The lo mein noodles tasted very salty and smokey. The beef in the beef fried rice was again extremely salty and very chewy.I was wondering if they use salt to extend the product life of the meat.YUK!!!!! We will never eat here again,I may as well of just threw my money away.
I saw all the positives reviews and decided to go myself. I had the vegetable fried rice & crab rangoon. Crab Rangoon was some of the best I have ever had. The vegetable fried rice was great too, brown rice with plenty of whole and fresh vegetables. I will definitely go back again.
Well, Yangzee does have some pretty good Chinese food. While its quality of ingredients is above that of your average Chinese take out/delivery, it is not the best I have had. Obviously, not every dish at a Chinese Restaurant is going to be great, but at least the dishes I love I try and judge by (Sesame Chicken, Crispy Cashew Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Orange Chicken, Hot Braised Chicken (Boneless) and Mongolian Beef) because they are what I will order. While I think their Sesame Chicken is pretty good I think that something about the sauce that is lacking for me. This is my personal preference, maybe some one else loves it but something was missing for me and therefore results for me finding midway through my entree to be bored with the flavor.
Yangzee has by far the best chinese food out of any restaraunt in St.Louis. When I'm in the mood for some chinese food, I don't hesitate to call Yangzee. I've tried other chinese restaraunts in St.Louis, but they don't compare. The delivery is a small disadvantage; however, the 35-60 minute wait is DEFINENTLY worth it! If you are eating by yourself, I would recommend the sesame chicken with a half-order of pork fried rice, crab ragoon, and a vegetable egg roll or two if you have a rather big appetite. If you are eating with a group, or with your family, let your imagination run wild! Everything on their menu is great, I guarantee it. Try it now and you'll see why it is getting such rave reviews!
