Golden Dragon Restaurant, Springfield

Seriously, this was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my entire life!!!! and I m from Vancouver, British Columbia where Asian fare is common place. The Shrimp ordered was over cooked and the shrimp was NOT FRESH! It had a funky after taste like the shrimp lived in dirty water, 2 hours later I m still tasting the funky shrimp taste and feeling ill. My husband got sick right away when he got home. Ordered the Crispy Duck and the centre was still cold and frozen when I cut into it and I had to send it back. I was surprised that a restaurant being in business for as long as it has would serve something out the kitchen of that quality. The staff is very nice, when I asked for something to cut into the really tough and later found out frozen duck, the lady came back with a kitchen paring knife from the back.... I have no idea what the people who wrote the other reviews are raving about. It was a total and utter disappointment and I felt like I was in an episode of Kitchen Impossible from the Food Network because from the interior to the menu, the entire place needs an overhaul.

I just got back from a very poor lunch. The waitress never checked on us and never refilled our waters. The only time the staff was friendly was when she was taking my money on our way out the door. I ordered the Honey spice chicken, the flavor was decent but the chicken was over cooked and the rice it was served with was barely cooked. My sister ordered the shrimp w/ broccoli and was very disappointed. The sauce was more of an unseasoned broth of some sort and the fried rice was just white rice with a little chopped up fried egg and a few carrots. No soy, no seasoning on that either. I tried it as well and it was inedible. Needless to say we left hungry and went to the closest drive thru so my sister could eat.

golden dragon is THE BEST!! ive been going here since i was in my mothers tummy...im 24.. i live an hour away and still will make sure i make time once a month to eat there. the owners are great people! ive known them since i was in a highchair in the resturant! if your looking for a relaxing, respectful, friendly atmosphere, and food thats even better, Golden Dragon is the place you want. p.s. they do takeout too.. AMAZING! Love you Mr. And Mrs. O!

I have been going to the Golden Dragon since about the age of 10 (I am now 36). Their food is unbeatable! The best egg rolls, hot and sour soup, and Mongolian Beef to die for! I live in St. Louis and have never had better Chinese!

I love LOVE love this place! its the only place i go for asian cuisine...their chicken wings are so tasty & the honey spiced chicken is the best!! Oh! cant forget about the crab ragoon... its the best i have EVER had...

Very yummy food. I love that you can tell they don't use MSG. Tastes like someones grandma is in the back making world class dumplings. We got 4 different dinners on the table on my first trip. I tried everything and it was ALL good. I see a ton of takeout from here in my future.

Been going there for over 20 years. Still my favorite. The wing appetizer plate is really nice.
