Description

Welcome to Saputo Twins Corner, located Springfield, Illinois!Saputo Twins Corner is family owned and operated Italian restaurant, founded in 1948. We have been at the same location since first opening our doors. The atmosphere at Saputo is rich with laughter and the aromas of recipes handed down through generations. In addition to our fine wine, we offer more casual alcoholic choices which include cocktails, liqueurs, brandies and more. One of our favorites. I agree with the other reviews, GREAT lasagna, pizza, ravioli, salad and yes the garlic steak is delicious. The service is also excellent.

Can Hardly Beat This Landmark Restaurant

The pasta is perfect, the wine chilled precisely to the right temp, the service attentive without being overbearing - what more can you ask for?

Best Pasta in Town!
By ,
Two words....Baked Rigatoni!! Saputos has the best pasta around, makes pasta at the other places in town taste like some prego, or ragu... nasty cheap bottled sauce.

Hands down the only place to go for good Italian. Try the Italian fries or the garlic cheese bread as an appetizer. Get the house dressing on your salad. It doesn't get any better.

Best Steak in Town
By ,
If you have not eaten the most tender Filet of your life . Get ready. Saputo's garlic filet is cooked to perfection and has to be the best steak in Springfield. The service is always top shelf and the history of the establishment is priceless. It is a must stop for all of our fine cities travelers.

Great Sign, Great Food
By ,
I've been to Springfield many times in recent years since I've gotten hooked on Rt. 66. I've seen their great sign but, until this last trip, haven't been able to visit. Generally speaking, when you see a great old neon sign, one that extends over the sidewalk, this is a place that bears checking out. This place was no exception. I visited at lunch and the place was packed. I had their spaghetti and ravioli combo for around $7. Not only was it filling, but that sauce was out of this world. I sat at the bar and the service was excellent. They've been there since 1948 and are located just two blocks north of the Lincoln Home.
