Great Sign, Great Food
I've been to Springfield many times in recent years since I've gotten hooked on Rt. 66. I've seen their great sign but, until this last trip, haven't been able to visit. Generally speaking, when you see a great old neon sign, one that extends over the sidewalk, this is a place that bears checking out. This place was no exception.
I visited at lunch and the place was packed. I had their spaghetti and ravioli combo for around $7. Not only was it filling, but that sauce was out of this world. I sat at the bar and the service was excellent.
They've been there since 1948 and are located just two blocks north of the Lincoln Home.
