Great atmosphere, very friendly service! I had the all you can eat chicken and ribs and my wife had the open roast beef sandwich and they were both out of this world. Definitely try the dumplings because they are fantastic. The bread in the pot was very good also and desert was excellent. All the fixings were great including the mash potatoes which definitely aren t instant. One negative I found was the bathroom needs some updating. Put it this, if Lamberts was 1 mile from us and Pioneer Cabin was 100 miles, we would take the trip because this place is well worth it. Lamberts isn t anything compared to Pioneer Cabin. The food network needs to check this place out. We highly recommend
This place is the best, the staff are super friendly, they food; well the salad is one of my favorites. All of the food is terriffic and my husband loves the desert. We live 85 miles away and think it is well worth the drive!
Atmosphere and setting are great. Cozy & cute. Service barely adequate but highly disappointed in the quality of the food. The flower pot bread fun concept, but the bread tastes like the clay pot. The mashed potatoes are very obviously fake (instant) and I can open a can of corn and green beans at home. Nothing in my opinion to travel for. The desserts are decent and the people are very nice. But I go for wonderful food too and I won't go back.
Pioneer's Cabin has always been one of my favorite restaurants of all time. They have a nice staff, a clean set up, and very content customers. I recommend going if you are looking for a place to eat with your family and for some good chicken and dumplings and bread.
I would not recommend this restuarant. Food is not all that great. Fried chickent is not that great. Over cooked, no flavor, etc. Dining area could be cleaned up a bit. I would NOT compare this cooking to mom's or grandma's.
We had a great time. We went with some friends for my husband's birthday. Staff at the restaurant brought out a birthday cupcake with a candle and sang happy Birthday to him. They they took a group picture and gave it to us. Food was great, more than we could eat. The salad that comes with the family meal is out of this world. Willisville is not near anywhere but well worth the trip.
