Lincoln Theater, Belleville

My wife & I love this theatre. It is a classic masterpiece that many couples and families will enjoy, without spending a fortune for a weekend of entertainment. First run movies at a reasonable price, will keep you returning for more.

Reasonable prices on tickets and food. The main theatre is comfortable and clean. The staff clears the concession lines quickly, is a plus!. The downfall are the two humble screens upstairs. Those seats are very uncomfortable! I encourage to view movies in the main theatre only.

You buy a cup and get soda for a dollar, it is the only theater where you can take your family and not spen sixty dollars. First run movies, vending machines, $2 hotdogs and nachos. Way back on March 2 1987 I spent my honeymoon there watching Nightmare on Elm street 3. I am so glad the theater lasted a lot longer than my wedding. I catch the metrolink from St.louis, bring my cup and enjoy a movie from time to time. Stan Kahn even played there. What's not to like. This is a Gem. okay for the adventurous readers take the link to the belleville station and catch the Belleville bus. It is a less than 5 minute ride from the station to the show.

The Lincoln Theatre is as close to your local family theatre as you can get. As many have already observed, it's a historical building, locally run, with recent upgrades, reasonable ticket prices, affordable refreshments, and a nostalig atmosphere! Who could ask for more?

Lincoln Theatre is a neat experience. The building inside is reminiscent of days gone by and the sound and presentation is modern day advanced. The prices are reasonable. Its locally run, I think. Our family always tries to see movies here first.

The Lincoln has a lot to love about it. It's historic, it's had recent improvements, the concessions are inexpensive... In fact, it's actually an affordable place to see a movie. If you hang on to your Lincoln cup and bring it back with you, you can refill your soda super cheap! I wish they had more of a selection, but with only 3 screens they are limited in what movies they can show. One of my favorite things about the going to the Lincoln is that I can enjoy my movie without feeling like I should be wearing earplugs. The multiplexes turn the volume up so loud that I'm often uncomfortable. At the Lincoln, I can hear my movie without being bowled over by it. Another neat thing the Lincoln has are old candy machines throughout the theater that are still operational with inexpensive candy inside. In the main theater on the left side of the stage, near the exit, there are some machines that actually take nickels and dimes! You won't be disappointed with a trip to the Lincoln. Take your family and enjoy the last remaining theater in Belleville.
