Church Street Pub, Hillsboro

Excellent food BUT very expensive for a small town.

I have dined at the Church Street Pub on many occasions. The food is the best quality around, even compared to larger cities. The wait staff is knowledgable and very courteous. I have lots of favorites, the beef tenderloin with hunter sauce, veal crabhouse, pasta carbanara, and the pub salmon are all sure to please your palate. The bar has a large wine list and can mix almost any cocktail you want. All of the reviews reference price, but the quality is well worth it. I will recommend this to anybody desiring an exceptional dining experience.

Have to agree with these reviews. We enjoy The Pub; the food is consistently good; the atmosphere and building are very nice. It is expensive, but a real treat when we do go. We're lucky to have such a nice place in town.

This is a big city restaurant in a small town. Not only is the food terrific but they have an extensive wine list and a bartender that knows how to mix a cocktail.

When you have McDonalds and Dairy Queen to choose from in a small rural town, it's nice to have a classy, gourmet-ish restaurant every once in a while. Ive been there a few times and really love the food and the menu; however, they're somewhat pricy (I average $30-$40+ per person). All in all, pretty nice.

Wonderful place to eat, great service, it is expensive but you get more than you paid for. The owners are wonderful friendly people who appreciate your business.

The Church Street Pub is absolutely gorgeous. The food was excellent, but the atmosphere was the real treat. We have been in the main dining section and had a booth at the bar. (Getting in and out of the pews was interesting). The wait staff was excellent. The huge stained glass windows really set the mood. It is my new favorite place.

My wife and I love the Church Street Pub. They have the absolute BEST steaks anywhere (I have been to many famed restaraunts in the world (europe etc.) and none come close to the steak quality here! My favorite dish here is called Steak Mcmann, its a super tender ribeye on top of hash browns with onions on top with a bordelaise sauce. Its absolutely excellent. It can however be a bit pricey, but in my view it is well worth it for the food and service you recieve. Great Place!!

The pub is a fantastic place to eat. I can honestly say I've had the best steak, lobster, salmon and desserts at The Pub. The building is beautiful, but it can get noisy. If you're looking for quiet, go on a Mon. night. It takes a while to get your food since it is made to order, but more than worth the time it takes to arrive. The prices are not cheap. The specials are not the least expensive items on the menu; you will have to ask for the prices of the specials if you want to know in advance of getting your check. The service is exceptional.
