Paris in Peoria?

First off, no complaints about the food or table service. Both are fabulous and consistently so. However, if the restaurant wants to be considered on par with high-end Chicago establishments, they need to figure out a way to quiet the place down. It's way too noisy for a special event (like a marriage proposal) or even a mundane birthday celebration. I don't want to go to an expensive restaurant and hear the couple at the next table on the phone with their kids or the intoxicated group across the room yelling at the server. I know that Peorians tend to be a little noisy in restaurants (unlike their Parisian counterparts), but possibly the owners could consider alternate table arrangements or sound proofing the restaurant. About a year ago, I called for a reservation and asked that the table for two be away from a large group table and was told, "I can't make any promises. We'll just have to see what we have available that night." That attitude is about the only thing around there that is truly French!!!
