Carnegie's Restaurant, Peoria

Carnegies is definitely a place to relax and enjoy fine food. One of Peoria's oldest dining spots, it is full of ambiance and tradition. Normally, seatings are for two hour meals, during which, all courses are served in their proper order and focus is on true dining rather than just eating and running. The menu displays a wide variety of choices in all areas and there is always different special five-course to choose from daily. No meal would be complete without one of Carnegies' signature flaming coffees. This is an excellent restaurant in which to relax and enjoy oneself and to introduce one's children to fine dining. Having worked in this restaurant myself, I can tell you the food is prepared by people who love what they do and from the finest quality ingredients. The wine list is very nice as well. The meals will be served at your pace, but do not be in a rush--something of which too many of us are guilty. Slow down and enjoy the good things--this is one of them.
