El Rancherito, MacOmb

Not since Alfredo's, in Lomita, CA, have we enjoyed Mexican food so much. So much of the mid-west's Mexican food is too bland, probably prepared for the Gringos. But, El Rancherito has Salsa with a zing, as well countless savory dishes. It's actually the first place I've found, east of the Mississippi, that has good chile Colorado. The Refried Beans are homemade--not out of a can. Plus, they actually have a vegetarian section on their menu! Desserts, such as their Sopapillas with ice cream--mmm,mmm,mmm. But usually, who has room for dessert.
