Log Cabin, Galena

Stopped in while going thru town, haven t been there in a few years. It was always a go-to place, but no more. The service was terrible, the food not worth the price, & the drinks were very very expensive. I don t mind going a nice place & paying a fair price, but this place has changed for the worst. Very very very disheartening because we always loved going here, but never again. The atmosphere was like if you don t spend several hundred dollars you ain t s#@t Too much attitude at the bar, they were a$$holes. Sorry, but this place sucks! period. Drive 20 minutes to Dubuque, IA & there are a dozen nicer places with by far better food & service for 40% less.

I was very satisfied, atmosphere was great and relaxing with good service, good food and prices that were equally good. Definitley plan on comming back.

Steak is this places specialty. A little bit pricey but the steaks are done perfectly the 5 times I have been there. They need to clean the place the lights are a bit dusty.

My husband and I ate here for our honeymoon, it was excellent! We are going back again in May for our 1 year anniversary!! Highly recommended place!! A+++++

My wife and I ate here and were both very disappointed. I had the seafood platter (probably not the best choice at a steak house) and was amazed how they were able to make a variety of seafood taste completely the same. Hint: Sprinkling paprika over everything for color doesn't suddenly make it great. My wife had the lamb and was equally un-impressed. The service was fine but at these prices I expected a bit more. We will not be returning.

I live in this town and if your looking for a great place to eat this is the one for you.My family is taken care of all the time.The service is great and the steakes are the best in the country.

Now, we bring our friends, recommend it as a �must go� to anyone who will be vacationing there and cannot wait for the day we get to bring our children.

My family and I have been enjoying the Log Cabin for years. A no-nonsense meal with a friendly atmosphere and a great staff. Whether you enjoy steak, fish, or something else, the diverse menu will give you options. The staff is always willing to go the extra mile, and they really do foster a great relationship with their customers. Outstanding and personal service coupled with some wonderful food, and a lot of it. You can't go wrong with a steak, and make sure to start out with the saganaki.

I came here told it was a nice place with live music. I get in there and it is SO dark I can hardly see in front of me, I get a soda to find out they dont give refils in their ice filled small cups. the steak isnt far from $20, not bad if its good, I ordered it well done and form what I could see (I had to wold the candle next to it) there was red juice comming out of it. I had them take it back, I get it back and it resembles a rock, but red on the inside. I leave wondering where the live music was, and it was in the bar. Not great if you have a family. The food was awful, I could get better at dennys, it was WAY to dark and the service was non existant. There are plenty of restaurant in the town, go to one of them instead of this.
