Chi-Tung Chinese Thai & Jpns
Chi Tung Restaurant is the premier Asian restaurant in Evergreen Park. Serving a full menu of Chinese, Thai, and Japanese favorites, Chi Tung has been recommended by everyone from Chicago Magazine to Check Please! Open since 1988, owners Jinny and Dan Zhao have transformed a single storefront into one of the most successful Asian restaurants in the area. Their dedication to authenticity, freshness and quality gives Chi Tung their well-deserved reputation, rivaling other establishments from Lincoln Park to Chinatown. With three separate kitchens, and experienced master chefs specializing in their native cuisine, Chi Tung offers its clientele the best Asian food in the area. The elegant dining room with seating for 200, coupled with an extensive menu makes this a perfect destination for families and couples alike.
My wife and I love this place and go so often that the servers know us. Love the appetizer platter for $5 a person and the General Tso's most.
Strong drinks by the way and can get a little loud but well worth everything including the times we have had to wait. One of our all time favorite places.
The food is the best on the Southside. The quality and the price is right for everyone. Try the egg rolls, wlnut shrimp, egg foo uoung-shrimp, crab rogoon and the chicken wings. The mongolian beef is exceptional and the service was great. I have been a long time customer and have never been disappointed with the place.
I went to this restaurant on my winter break. The chinese food is the thing to have a feel for. Don't get me started on the waiting. I thought it was a waste of me and my family's time and I didn't know a thing about the plasma screen that displays the family names and how long until they get the table. My favorite chinese foods are the orange chicken, sweet & sour chicken, the eggrolls which didn't have shrimp, which was a relief because I'm allergic to fish, and their rice. I'm glad to have found the table where they supply the chopsticks and holders for 'em. So give this place a try if you enjoy eating out for chinese food. I'd give the joint 4 out 5 stars because the waiting takes alot of huge chunks of my time and I couldn't be more appalled at it. So I'd give the place a A- on their report card and 4 stars along with it.
