Greek Islands Restaurant, Chicago

Was there on Friday & Saturday nite this place is jammin'...the food is flawless in taste...the wine is exelent and priced well...service is good ...try to be there around 6pm to avoid a wait..are party had to wait about 30 min at 7pm

It was our wedding anniversary, me and my wife decided to go to Greek Islands Restaurant. Everyone there were very kind, the manager, and when the seated us on our table, the waiter came toward us and greeted us, making us feel at home. He told us his name was Ariel, a very good waiter. We will come back, but we will request to be seated on his table. Ariel is the best waiter that we've ever seen!

The food was sooo good! I'll be back again when I'm in Chicago in October. The family meal was huge. The food just kept coming. I needed a nap after eating there.

Go! The place is awesome! We were pleasantly surprised to find a new Greek restaurant for our family. The food was wonderful and the prices were great. We will definitely be back again soon.

the food was amazing esspecially the duck! our room was beutiful and the service was pretty good aswell. while we where there we could send the kids away while me and the lover stayed behined and had the fun that an adult needs. it was also perfect for privecy! another up point was that it is in the perfect plaice to stay in peace but you had soo much to do right on the doorstep we had soo much fun!!!

Always outstanding food and service. The food is made fresh daily and on display for you to select. A very complete selection for both food and spirits. The waiters are fun and informative. The atmosphere is very relaxing and enjoyable.

I was staying in a hotel down the street from the Greek Islands on Halsted in Chicago and just wanted a light dinner/snack. I picked up for take out a cup of chick pea soup and a dessert - the Greek Islands Special. Both were delicious and what a deal - just over $6.00. I'm glad I only ordered the cup of soup versus the bowl - I couldn't finish it all. The dessert was described as shredded filo dough with a a lemon custard and creamy topping. The shredded filo dough tasted like baklava - it was like having 2 desserts in one. I look forward to returning because the atmosphere was friendly and looked like a fun place for a group.

I went here for a work party. (not mine) It was a great place. The price wasn't bad and the service was great also. Most go.

I went there for a Sweetest day with my grilfriend. It was a bad idea. First, they told us to wait for 15-30 min.max. It turned out we had to wait for over an hour. Nobody appologized for a such a long wait. Finally, after I started getting impatient and kept asking them why we were waiting so long , I got the table. However, the table was a six people table, it was located right next to severs lounge, so we could actually hear and feel their unpleasant presents next to us. First when our server showed up and find-out that there will be only four people for the six seating table he got upset and angry. I didn't see a smile or heard a nice voice tone from him for the whole evening, he was just rude. It seemed like he wanted us to get out of there faster so he could have a new people at his table. The food in general was disapointing, I had a fish shishkibob and it was terrible. The fish was cold, dry and old. The whole experience was awfull. I'll never go back there, and I suggest to you to do the same.

My fish was spoiled. The waiters and managers were very unfriendly. I expecting it to be great, but it was awful! I got food poisoning because of the fish I ordered. When I asked for them to do something about it, they acted like I was lying.
