One of the most boisterous and hopping of all the Greektown restaurants. Somehow it manages to maintain a sophisticated atmosphere even amidst loud noise and busy waiters. If you have three or more people, order one of the family style dinners, which include saganaki, taramosalata, lamb, meatballs, dolmades and more. Part of the charm is that you can dress up and feel comfortable, or go in jeans and feel at home. Try the Greek beer or one of the exotic Greek wines.
It was all about the food!! There were 20 of us all hungry as the heck we started with the saladtaramor (forget the spelling think about the food.) A creamy spread on the best tasting Pita bread I have ever tasted. Made from salmon or red Cavier and potatoes mixed (and there has to be some milk I bet too.) It was a really tasty way to get a healthy meal into us. Then came the Grilled Octopus. A generally hit or miss dish this hit big time It was suculent and it was very tasty and tender (given what they do in the sea tender is not the attribute one thinks about when talking squid) It was accompanied by the house red wine. DInner consitsted of the lambchops. The were done to a medium and that was to say pink in the middle. Juicy and cooked to a perfection. they were unreal. They were served with ocra. MIXED VEGGIES AND RICE. The place is inexpensive but oh soooo gooooood. Buon appetite
