Shiroi Hana Restaurant, Chicago

Was shocked to see this place on yahoo's home page as being listed as a top sushi spot in Chicago. THis place is terrible. Ordered a couple tuna rolls, edamame, and a shrimp tempura roll from this place and....the tuna was inedible - had turned - edamame wasn't good, either. And the shrimp tempura roll was ok, but is it possible to mess up one of those? It certainly wasn't spectacular. Avoid this place. It's terrible. It's cheap, yeah, but quality is low.

Lots of fishes for a good price.

Most of all, the handroll spicy tuna is the best in the city. It's not too spicy but have tangy taste that will make you wanna eat about half dozen of them. Everything else comes in generous size and cheap. I highly recommend.

This is the first place I ever tried Sushi and Now I drive all the way from Lindenhurst because it's worth it. The parking may not be great but it's worth a few blocks walking or so to get great value and taste for your dollars. I give Shiroi Hana two thumbs up, three if I had another thumb.

Little ambience other than crowded tables of talking people but the sushi! Best I've ever had and the price doesn't make you second guess your palette. The tempura rolls alone could fill you up, and their mixed tempura platter, that's it, I'm going there tonight, I can't take it any longer.

This establishement was my first experience with sushi, and I'm glad my friend introduced me to it. I've been going here since 1997. I love the waitstaff and the sushi chefs. They are friendly and provide prompt service. The food is excellent. I love happy hour! Spicy Tuna Hand Rolls are the best.

This place is excellent! I've been to various other sushi restaurants around Chicago, and Shiroi Hana wins every time, hands down. An amazing assortment of fish and vegetarian dishes, at the best prices. My girlfriends and I come here for sushi every time!
