Gulliver's Pizza, Chicago

Never again is my credo! Service was bad. Food wasn t much better. Wait time even with open tables was really long. I should have left. I wouldn t be writing this if I had done so. Previous owner must be rolling in his grave.

Drove from Joliet on 12/1/12. Not even close to what they once were. Prices are about the same but the ingredients are way skimpy. Pan pizza is still the same dough but 1/2 the cheese and 1/2 the amount of the other ingredients including the cheese. Salads are smaller. Place was basically dead on a Saturday night. Lou Malnati's makes a far better pizza for the same price with a full helping of ingredients. In my opinion it's not worth the ride anymore.

this place is the best they have spicey sausage for the pan pizza something lou's doesn't. 5 generation of my family have been in that restaurant at once, the service has always been the best. the owner has always walked by and greeted me on every occassion i have dined there. the only downside to the restaurant is its on the north outskirts of chicago and hard to access via highway if ur coming from the suburbs

What a waste of time and money! Appetizer was cold, and after waiting approximately one hour, they gave us the wrong pizza!! They only applied a minuscule discount, after we had to ask for it from the manager. Stay away from this restaurant - bad service and horrible management!

I have been going to Gulliver's for thirty years, and I have loved going there. It changed owners last year and I am very upset to say, I won't return. Half of the beautiful antique lighting fixtures have been sold, leaving the decor sparse and sad. For some reason seating in dining room is being ignored, instead there is a big push to seat guests in the bar room. That room is the worst room in the house, which includes a giant TV. Also a manager lectured a staff member about the table arrangement/placement right in front of us while we ate. The pizza is still good, but the restaurant isn't what it used to be.

A Rogers Park institution for nearly fifty years. Go for the deep dish pizza, but consider salad, Italian and Mexican dishes. The atmosphere is worth the trip, as well. There is an outdoor enclosed patio and the place is loaded with antique fixtures. A great place to sit in the summer with friends. There are two parking lots, one of which is just east of the restaurant. The north parking lot fills up. Wait staff varies, so consider ordering a few beers, margaritas, and appetizers.

We love this place. The staff are great, the pizza is fabulous. We like to eat there at least once a week. Props!, To Gullivers!!1

Our whole family celebrated Father's Day today at Gulliver's! We ordered thin, stuffed and pan pizzas, all which were great... but the thin crust rules if you like cracker thin crust. All toppings wre fresh and delicious. The soft drinks though were awful. Order your drinks out of a pop can rather than the fountain. The ambience is perfect and the outdoor cafe is lovely. Definantly worth an hour's drive on precious over priced gas!
