Gulliver's Pizza

Description

Gulliver's is ideal for a date or a gathering of friends with its delicious menu and relaxed atmosphere. Located in Chicago and Oak Brook Terrace, Gulliver's stuffed pizza gives new meaning to a Chicago favorite. We think the thin crust would fare well even among New Yorkers. For under $20, Gulliver's serves one of Chicago's finest stuffed pizzas with homemade sauce. Other noteworthy dishes include half-pound "Gulliburgers." For health-conscious eaters, Gulliver's also has a large selection of salads. Gulliver's is filled with antiques and an amazing display of lamps and paintings that create a unique experience.

Gulliver's Restaurant Chicago
By dana, 11/30/04
I've eaten at Gulliver's many times with my brother (native Chicago-an) The menu has wonderful variety. The service is always prompt. The interior is filled with beautiful chandalier/tiffany style lights with a story behind each one. I highly recommend it for large groups and families. Love It !

A Rogers Park institution for nearly fifty years. Go for the deep dish pizza, but consider salad, Italian and Mexican dishes. The atmosphere is worth the trip, as well. There is an outdoor enclosed patio and the place is loaded with antique fixtures. A great place to sit in the summer with friends. There are two parking lots, one of which is just east of the restaurant. The north parking lot fills up. Wait staff varies, so consider ordering a few beers, margaritas, and appetizers.

I have been going to Gulliver's for thirty years, and I have loved going there. It changed owners last year and I am very upset to say, I won't return. Half of the beautiful antique lighting fixtures have been sold, leaving the decor sparse and sad. For some reason seating in dining room is being ignored, instead there is a big push to seat guests in the bar room. That room is the worst room in the house, which includes a giant TV. Also a manager lectured a staff member about the table arrangement/placement right in front of us while we ate. The pizza is still good, but the restaurant isn't what it used to be.

Best Pizza found in Chicago!
By Jamie, 10/4/05
The atmosphere almost outdos the food at this wonderful restaurant. The Famous pan pizza is the best you can find anywhere. If you're a fan of sausage pizza dont let this one pass by you!

Best Deep Dish EVER!
By Michelle Blake, 8/24/05
I've been going to Gullivers since I had teeth. They have the best deep dish pizza (I recommend green pepper or the sausage done in the Chicago style sheet) that I've ever had, and I've lived in Chicago my whole life and had it all. They also have fabulous Minestrone Soup served in an earthenware crock. The ambiance and decor has been well known throughout Chicago. There are thousands of antiques, tiffany lamps, and other treasures to admire while you wait for your pizza. In the last few years they expanded and opened a lovey outdoor eating area that is also festively decorated. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it's worth the parallel parking. Come try it once and I guarantee you'll agree that it's the best around.
