Description
Mac and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, pizza and beer: some things just go better together. Award-winning beers (brewed by a champion brew-master) feature at this open and friendly brewery and pizzeria. Pizzas on offer at Piece include your choice of toppings on either a red (red sauce and mozzarella), white (traditional New Haven-style pizza with olive oil, garlic, and mozzarella), or plain (red sauce, garlic, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil) pie. For those who have arrived at a pizza place with no desire for pizza (what?), there are also several sandwiches and salads to choose from. If somehow you end your meal not completed stuffed with pizza and beer, shell out the cash for some dessertthe chocolate pizza (with house-made chocolate hazelnut sauce and mascarpone cheese) is a culinary concoction not to be missed. Note: Kitchen closes several hours before restaurant. - Susan Berg
Great food; they have many other options besides pizza. Fun place to watch sports and have a gathering. If there is a wait, just grab a drink at the bar and enjoy their special brews.
Good Pizza. Better Beer. It does get busy during peak times. If you have been to a popular restaurant in Chicago, then you'll know what to expect. On our last trip we arrived at 4:45 on a Saturday and were seated immediately. 30 minutes later there was a line out the door. Grab a beer while you wait a few minutes and have a good time. I'll be back.
Thin crust pizza in a stuffed crust town? Hell yeah, when it's as good as Piece. Great New Haven pizza, done rustic style. Service is, ahem, serviceable, but it's pizza, so whaddaya expect? Great microbrews.
White pizzas like I've only dreamed about since I left New Haven. Order twice as much as you can imagine eating because it will all be gone. Microbrews are terriffic. Don't forget to make a reservation unless you want a horrendous wait on the weekends; carry out is a great option but beware the extremely limited delivery area.
