During the day, Hollywood Grill and Breakfast House is home to the busy locals. But, at night, being caught in the cross-hairs of Wicker Park nightlife, it becomes a haven for party animals on their way home. The service is phenomenal. You will never experience so short a wait between ordering and receiving. The "2222" breakfast is one of the most popular, offering two eggs, two pieces of bacon, two sausage links and two buttermilk pancakes. However, do not let the cheap prices fool you. This is good, honest, stick-to-your-ribs food served up in a bright, friendly environment, which might hurt your eyes if you have had one too many at the nearby bars.

If you want good service and good food STAY AWAY from this dump. The waitresses are more interested in chit chat and grab ass humor than providing good customer service.

Word to the wise: We went in at like 10 o'clock on a Saturday night, and we pretty much had our pick of booths. By 10:30ish there were people waiting in line for tables. Looks like this is a hot spot for late-night weekend dining, so plan accordingly.

I think this is the best place I have been to for breakfast food.I have had this on the top of my list for 6 years. My boyfriend loves to eat and this is a place that we can both agree on because of the variety of food they offer. Service is fast but great. They never forget about you. Plates are cheaper for the amount. The food is hot and fresh.

not just for coffee

If you want a place to eat and socialize this might be the place, but if all you want is a cup of coffee forget it. you are as forgotten as two day old bread. this waiter staff is all about tips. if all you want is coffee you will sit there forever. So if you like coffee and nothing else go somewhere else. This use to be a place to relax and read a paper now it is just for the bar crowd.

Great place except for meatloaf

I've driven by this place for years and always wanted to try it and finally did. What do you order in a place like this? The meatloaf of course. Unfortunately I was disappointed - it was overly salty to the point of almost being inedible. But overall I liked the place and will give it another try, ordering something other than meatloaf.

Anything you want anytime you want it!

I've been here all hours of the day and into the early morning. The menu selection here has never failed me yet. It's always packed in here, but we never seem to have to wait more than a few minutes for a table.
