Nile Restaurant, Chicago

Love the food :). I come here on a weekly basis. The lamb and chicken are to die for and the service is excellent. It is definitely worth the commute from Evanston. :)

Went to the one on 63rd Street. Kind of a hole in the wall place -- but tThe food was fantastic, especially the falafils, which were the best I have ever eaten (and at $39 apiece, I was tempted to get a bucket of them) The chicken and lamb dishes were very good, and the arabian coffee was excellent...however, what impressed me most was the service - friendly but not intrusive. The falafil sandwiches were also good (but needed some pickled turnip to be great) All in all, a really good experience

Best Middle Eastern food in Chicago...The fish, lamb and chicken is fresh and well prepared...vegetables are excellent and portions are large...I almost always cannot finish and take home a container of food. Make sure you try the lentil soup, hummous and baba ganoosh..desserts are about average but the Midddle Eastern coffee is superb !!

My first date with my existing partner was at the Nile Restaurant. I was familiar with the area in Hyde Park but never gave it any attention. As we walked through the door, I was told then, that it is a Middle Eastern Restaurant ... I thought to myself .. what the heck was I getting in to. I have experienced exotic foods before...so I wasn't to thrown back..just skeptical. WOW..is all I can say. The food is superb.... the flavors and choices of meats, and vegetables.....exquisite.....The portions....very filling.....enough to take home for lunch the next day....possibly better the second time around! A must taste for yourself. ENJOY

Very tasty food, fresh vegetables and nice spot for a sit down. Soup is addictive.
