Description

Owner Orapin "Penny" Chiamopoulous runs the Penny's Noodle Shop with an emphasis on a fast and authentic Thai experience. The menu offers a host of noodle dishes topped with meat or vegetables, cilantro, garlic and a variety of different spices. You will not be dissatisfied with either the sauce or gravy selection, which can be made to order. This place is almost always packed and does not accept reservations.

not very consistent. i ordered seaweed salad and last time (my first time) it was fine with sauce in the bag. this time- no sauce and they piled lettuce leaves on the bottom so barely any seaweed. i'd definitely request no lettuce and specifically ask for the sauce if i go there again. and service could definitely be better as well.

This is the best thai place around; it's fresh and soooo tasty. Whenever I'm by a Penny's, I have to pick some up!

This was the spot in the early-mid 1990's. Too many great thai places in Chicago now, try something else if you crave thai.. Noodles in the Pot, Duck Walk,Barberry are the better place to eat.

I never had Thai food until I went to Penny's Noodle Shop and now I am hooked. Located in the heart of Wrigleyville you won't find a better bang for your buck. You get a lot of food for an excellent price. Last time I went it only cost me $25 and I couldn't have been happier. I have my girlfriend to thank for taking me to Penny's and I hope you share it with someone you care about as well.

My favorite Thai restauraunt

Very good food and ambiance. Also very good prices for very fresh food. I also enjoyed talking with the owner penny. Who I have known since the day she opened her first noodle shop. I wish she would open a shop in the loop.

I miss Penny's Noodle Shop!!!

I spent 5 years in Chicago and loved Penny's. The food is fresh and the restaurant is clean. Awesome value. I'm pregnant now and stuck in Michigan and I crave Penny's noodles!!!

Top Cheap eats.

Pennys has been serving Chciago for some time and they always produce a great meal at a very resonable price. This place is among the best cheap eats in the city and it makes the top 10 places that dont break the bank.
