Pequod's Pizzeria, Chicago

Ate at the Morton Grove location. Dirty, funky place that smells bad.... like animals live there or something. Pizza is 90% crust, and although I ordered extra cheese I got the skimpiest portion of cheese on my pizza that I ve ever had in my life. In other words, they are CHEAP. They give you crust, crust, crust (which does taste good, I will admit) and some sauce (which doesn t taste bad), but very little cheese and meats on top. The owner came out when we were there... and he looks like some ancient cave man type, with dirty nails and a long untrimmed dirty looking beard. This place is a turn off, and I think many people are duped by its supposed reputation as a Chicago landmark. I think they are coasting on their reputation, and that they are HIGHLY overrated, and, as I said, CHEAP !!! I will never, never, never go back.

Gotta love the Pan Sausage pizza....I stop in from time to time ,and get a personal size pan pizza. Always very pleased with service and pizza

Totally not impressed. Had the thin crust; plain cheese. First off, they didn't tell me the delivery driver would be calling, and not knocking on the door; had to redeliver. Pizza was nothing special in my taste. Maybe deep dish is better. The mozzarella taste is nothing special. The crust was avg/good; sauce was good, a little sweet; the mozzarella was Bountiful, lots of it...but it cheese itself wasn't that great. Will likely not repeat.

I ate a slice of this pie, not knowing about the cheese crust, and I was blown away. First of all the bread is very tasty and easy to eat. The ingredients taste very fresh and just when you thought this delicious pizza was over, BAM a big ol' crust of carmelized cheese that keeps you coming back for more!

This is the BEST PIZZA I've had in a long time, I came across this wonderful place by chance and boy am I glad one though that I would change are the hostesses, they could do a better job.The waitresses are cool and attentive. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

You want some good pizza? Then I recommend Als Beef & Nancys Pizzeria located on the corner of 87th Street East of Stony Island. Trust me it's very good and their menu is wide ranged as well. Oh yeah the place has a nice bar area too as well as a family sitting area. Chicago, Illinois

Who needs stuffed pizza when you can have a Pequods pan of thin crust pizza? One of Chicago's hidden treasures. I highly recommend it!!!

Awesome had the Pepperoni pizza last night with and Italian sausage and fries. Very very good, the crust is to die for. I like to eat it backwards...

Besides having a GREAT pizza, the atmosphere is very friendly and casual. HIGHLY recommended!
