Friendship Chinese Restaurant
Many-hued cooking styles exemplify the rich history and culture of China. From the northern Szechwan chili spices to the southern ginger roots the reward of its perfumed aromas and taste is simply splendid. Lately, Chinese buffets have been popping up like wild mushrooms. When the main interest is to offer quantity, quality has sadly faded away.

We have eaten at Friendship several times and have been really impressed each time... great food, good service and Tuesday nights a reduced price for entrees. I brought my cousin who has traveled in China fairly extensively and he said it was very good and very authentic... I do think some of the dishes are better than others (didn't care for the merlot beef because it wasn't really Chinese but more French)and I usually pass on the appetizers except the crab rangoon. We really enjoy it!
Had the appetizer for two.Tasted like it was cooked the day before. Could not cut the dumplings with a steak knife. Complained but the waitress just smiled and walked away as if she did not understand us. The soup was awful also. Will not go back
If you're looking for your food to be loaded with MSG, this would be the place to come to. We requested for no MSG in the food but the server spoke less than adequate English. We left the restaurant with severe allergic reaction to it.
We tried this restaurant because it was on Check Please. Save your money and go somewhere else.
When I saw the Friendship restaurant in the program check please, I decided that I must try this place since I loved chinese food. So, I decided to take my sister to celebrate her B-Day and what a big mistake. The food is not very good as they say in the reviews. The service was bad and the food was cold and they are not friendly at all. However, they do like to charge an extra 20% tip for 3 people which I don't appreciate it. If the service and the food were great I will happily leave the tip. I will never recommend this place there are better places in chicago.
What a great find!!!! Food is not typical Chinese and has a french flair. Decor is beautiful - woods, brass and ceramics. You feel as if your in a high price resturant downtown. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Although they do not have a liquor license they are happy to serve your beer or wine.
I have been to several large events they have catered outside the restaurant. All who have attended these events have given the food rave reviews.
You must go and experience this place yourself.
I have never been a chinese food fan but I must say that this is the best tasting food I have had in a chinese restaurant ever. I find myself recommending it to friends whenever they are looking for a neighborhood restaurant to dine in that serves great food at a very affordable price.
I love this place. Everything I've ever had here is really incredible, including some kind of peppered beef dinner dish (sorry, I can't remember its menu name!). There are beautiful and unique flavors hidden inside everything I've had here, including the water! It's really rerally great, and my #1 choice for a Chinese restaurant. I've never ordered delivery from them, but, dining in, anywhere, is always a better experience (regarding the review below).
They seem to have redone some of their interior recently, and it's really nice. They also have chocolate fortune cookies! :-)
First let me point out that my food at this restaurant was a delivery, therefore I really don't have anything to say about their service. The food was ok. I was expecting better when I read the reviews. I've really have had better food for even a better price.
Recipient of the 'Best Chinese Restaurant' award in Chicago, this place serves up some extraordinary concoction of sauces and unique
dishes with immaculate presentation. Before dinner, don't forget to order one of their exclusive margaritas. A few of the ...
This colorful taverna in Greektown is well worth the short trek from downtown. The menu mixes standard Greek fare, including
a flaming Saganaki cheese appetizer and traditional lamb and chicken dishes, with more interesting offerings like pan fried squid. ...
If it were not for the surrounding neighborhood, you would think you were eating at a gigantic truck stop. This
diner serves simple food in large portions. Breakfast (served around the clock) includes eggs, omelets, French toast and the ...
