Tango Sur, Chicago

I called this restaurant to make a reservation for me and my family. They said they do not accept reservations for groups less than eight people. Really disappointing! The guy was kind of rude, said he was very busy and cannot talk to me. Besides, he was not Argentine and I can tell because I m from Buenos Aires.

Horrible was there last summer.I agree terrible service and the food very average. The waiters clothing looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks.

The food is good but the service is very very poor. I've called to make a reservation for three which I have done in the past and I was told that they only do reservation for parties of 6 or more. The guy on the phone (because he was not a gental men) told me that they never make reservations for groups under 6, which they have because I've eaten there more than once and I made the reservation but he was also very rude and rushed me off the phone. That is not a way to treat paying customers. Apparently their reputation has gotten to their heads!!!! They just lost 3 customers!!!!! I would never pay someone to treat me this bad!!!!!

Was there on Aug 11, 2010 for a birthday dinner. Ate out on the patio and it was so very pleasant to sip wine and people watch. The appetizers were excellent. The filets were very generous in portions and perfectly grilled. All the food was piping hot and nicely presented. The service was wonderful and and the prices were great. Bring your own wine and tango down Southport with your doggie bag when you call a cab.

BYO makes this restaurant amazing!

Crowded and claustrophobic setting. Waiters and customers are continuously running into people while eating. Very loud. Although food is great it is not worth the hassle. Good luck trying to find a place to park.

One of the best Argentine restaurants, their steaks are to dye for, also pastas and great desserts, can't miss it

Tango Sur remains one of the best Argentine steak houses in the city. The grass-fed beef is exceptional. Tango Sur is an incredible value for the quantity and quality of its meat. Tango is always packed, especially in the summer for its sidewalk cafe. Their BYOB policy helps to make it even more popular, especially among the 20s-30s crowd. The decor needs real upgrading, but nobody pays notice.

Great value and good food.
