So what if it's part of a big restaurant group. Just cuz the place isn't a hole-in-the wall joint, doesnt' make it instantly inauthentic. In fact, I like the fact that there's consistency in its service ( which is great for a mid-tier restaurant) and in the quality of its food ( its free-range chickens, organic beef). Favorite take out: chicken potstickers, yellow currry vegetables and tofu with brown rice, and spicy peanut noodles.
I was served plenty of good , fresh food - I had schezuan shrimp - it was sooo good! and was served quikly - but the best of the best was the dessert a pear tart served with caramel swirl ice cream - it was great!
does Oprah still own this place?????? i was ther many years ago maybe 1994 or 95
Every time I visit Chicago, I find time to make it to the Big Bowl. The food is tasty and fresh, good for those watching their diets. The selection on the menu is good enough that you never get bored. And the service is some of the best I've had at this price. The decor is fun and makes you feel like your down from your apartment in downtown to have a bite to eat before your walk home. I can't wait to go again.
