Description

Forget about the mega-chain this pizzeria spawned. This location is the first, with arguably the best pizza in the world. Waits can be long, up to two hours sometimes, but it is worth it. One-of-a-kind crust, loaded thick with toppings make the pizza to die for, or go for some Minestrone Soup and a salad. The decor is rough-and-tumble, old school Chicago, but the menu has is modern trends and features "specialty" pizzas. Do not even think about counting grams of fat, just eat.

This pizza made me sick!!! The place was crowded. It's a small eating area inside and out! My fiance' and I felt like crap after eating a deep dish pizza there last summer! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!

Visited Uno's January 24, 2009 while in Chicago for my son's Navy graduation at Great Lakes. Great pizza and service. We started to take the Metra Train in to Chicago but decided to drive. It was Saturday evening and we had no trouble parking. It was just extremely cold. From Florida, not used to the cold weather. But, planning on going to Uno's when we go back in a year or so for my youngest son who will be graduating from Great Lakes as well.

The original Uno and Due are good. I even like the chain restaurants in the suburbs. I have never been dissapointed with Unos deep dish and great buttery crusts. I don't think some of these reviewers went to the right place or they're probably ticked cuz they had a hard time fining parking.

I went there today. Waiter was so rude and when I asked check,he had blackberry on his hand! Pizza was okay,but seat was so small and uncomfortable. I'll not be back.
